About

Matts Mutts was established in 2019 which might not be the longest serving in the Bromsgrove community, but rest assured that any pet is treated with the best care and attention possible. We provide care for your beloved pet as if they were our own, and ensure that they receive the highest quality care while you're away.  As a dedication to care, we only look after a maximum of 5 dogs at any one time.

When you live a busy life, it is hard to consistently provide the attention and care that your pets can demand. You can rely on Matts Mutts to care for your pets when you're away or otherwise engaged. Before we take your pet, we have a policy of coming out to meet you and your dog and to get a consent form signed. This will usually only take 5-10 minutes, but it ensures we are a good fit for your needs! 

We are always prepared for any pets' needs and ensure that your pet will receive the best possible attention when in our care. Their happiness and well-being is our absolute priority, and we strive to provide a service we would want our own pets to receive. 

As well as dog walking services, I also offer pet pop in services to come in and feed your pet(s) if you are away or in need and transportation.

Fully insured, DBS (formerly CRB) checked and trained in pet CPR for peace of mind when out and about.

Services & Prices 

DOG WALKING

Most popular service. I will give your dog(s) a walk on-lead (though off lead if requested). I charge £13 per hour for a dog to go as part of a GROUP woodland adventure walk.  Any more dogs than this (maximum of 4 per household) will be charged an extra £5.00. A dog who requires a solo walk will be charged at £14.00.  


PET TRANSPORT

This is transferring your pet from one location to another. Whether that be a new home, a vet appointment or even a pet pamper at a salon!

Please note this is subject to availability, and prices will differ depending on where being transported to, so please ask for a quote. 


PET POP IN

I will check in on your pet, refill food and water if necessary. Change puppy pads/clean mess if necessary and give the pet some attention and fuss for a while.

For this service, it is £10.

This covers all small animals, including (but not limited to) cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils and birds. For exotic animals, please get in touch.  

Please note that this is no longer than 30 minutes.


Please note that there is NO EXTRA CHARGE for weekends, or for travel costs. There is NO CANCELLATION FEE IF MORE THAN 24 HOURS NOTICE, however, a fee of 50% of the walk total will be charged if less time given.
Bank Holidays will be charged at an extra £2 per dog.

 Matt has been walking my dog for a few weeks now and he has really taken to him. My dog can be nervous and very excitable at times, but Matt has a calm and positive way of reassuring him.  Matt was recommended to us by a friend, and since then he has walked our dog, Woody, several times while we've been away. (Woody was staying with family at the time, so he was never left home alone.) Before his first walk, Matt took the time to visit Woody and get to know him, learning about his personality, likes and dislikes.  My dogs always loved seeing Matt come to collect them! They’re not the easiest dogs to manage, being large, very intelligent, high-drive and headstrong, but Matt won them both over completely. I always knew they were safe, happy and well cared for when they were with him. I owe Matt a huge amount for the support he gave me when I was ill. Knowing I could rely on him to make sure my dogs were still getting everything they needed took a massive weight off my shoulders, and I’ll always be grateful for that.  We have now moved to Devon but whilst we lived in Bromsgrove, Matt walked our cockapoo Alfie for 3.5 years. He was absolutely amazing and Alfie adored him - you will not regret using him. Matt also did cat feeding when we were on holiday and again this was top notch 😊

F.A.Q

Yes. All dogs are eligible as long as they a) are not aggressive to humans or other dogs b) They are not ill or heavily pregnant c) not banned breeds in the UK 
I live in and cover Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. In particular, the B60 and B61 post codes, but may be willing to cover elsewhere if possible.  
I do have transport to get to customers. 
Currently, I am operating 5 days a week (weekends available if booked at least a week in advance. There is NO EXTRA CHARGE for weekends, however bank holidays are charged at £2 extra per dog). I am happy to take the dog(s) on walks in any weather condition EXCEPT FOR IF IT IS TOO HOT. I can not stress enough how dangerous it can be to excercise a dog in extreme heat, and will not walk in these conditions - this is strictly at my discretion. If it is too hot, a stay and play will be offered if available, or a trip to undercover woods if suitable. 
If I am unable to operate due to this, or illness/other unforeseen circumstances, I will endeavour to let the client know as soon as possible. Any sessions already paid for will either be refunded or rolled over, whichever suits the client. 
I have undertaken training in pet CPR and basic animal first aid. If the incident is serious enough, I will apply any of the skills needed in order to help your dog as much as possible. It may be necessary to transport your dog to the nearest vet who will have been notified. At this point, you the owner will be notified. This will ONLY be done after a consent form is signed at the initial consultation...
Any new customer registering their interest in the service will have a brief consultation before hand. This will usually only take 5 - 10 minutes and is just to get some basic information about your dog (existing medications, behaviour habits etc).
A consent form will have to be signed to grant permission to take a severely ill dog to the nearest vet.
I will only have 5 dogs at any one time. It allows me to offer a better, personalised service to each dog in my care at the current time.

Yes, I have been fully DBS (formerly CRB) criminal checked and am happy to provide proof if necessary.
